DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

SPARC-HARD 550 is a medium heavy coated rutile based air hardening type electrode for hard surfacing application on mild steels, carbon steels and low alloy steels, manganese steels where hardness approx. 550 BHN is required. Weld metals is non machinable and can only be ground. The electrode is sitable for abrasion and impact or a combination of both. Before depositing on cabob steels a buffer layer of SPARC -7016 is recommended. Suitable for metal cutting and farming tools, cold punching dies, drill bits, cane and bamboo cutting knives, crane wheels , conveyors brackets, mining machinery parts etc.
